Norf Tech is the moniker of electronic music artist Emanuele Franchetto, hailing from northern Italy, previously known as Norf.
Emanuele's work stems from his passion of adrenalinic heist movies, cyberpunk anime and the rugged sampling techniques of the 90's hip-hop masters.
The big catalyst for much of Norf Tech's work in the recent years has been the live audio/visual show which he has been touring Italy with, allowing him to support artists such as Kode9, Nathan Fake and Evian Christ among others.
Constantly evolving, drowned in red colored visuals, Emanuele has been re-wiring his own tracks, inspired by the inner workings of Soulwax's seminal Nite Versions, aiming to bring heavier-duty versions of his own studio works to the club, making the tracks feel alive and burning.
Norf Tech is now gearing up to release his next EP, 'Phantom Grade', on Friends of Friends, recoiling tactful and precise studio tekkerz at the service of his own most melanchonic sentiments.
This is heavyweight gear for the sentimental ones in the club.

The EP opens with ‘Higher Function’, with smudged UKG mutations at the front and heavy subs, moving to nitrous fuelled 4/4 emotional moments on ‘Xta See’, shattered but sharply effective club 2-step on ‘Unaffected’, 303 tear outs on ‘Infra Breaker’ and the grand-finale burned-out ‘You Can’t Miss Once’ after an adrenaline-fuelled heavy duty score.carefully: alarm systems are timed, the trackers on the vehicles are in place, we know at what time the package arrives and when it’s supposed to leave the facility.
High-octane drums, spine-freezing synth lines, rude bass ballasts are the primary elements emerging from the new EP ‘Phantom Grade’, out later this year on Friends of Friends, in which Norf Tech conjures an universe made of all-black street-spec cars escaping on the highway northbound, surgically executed heists and cinematic grand finales – standing on the beach at dusk, looking at the sea, reflecting on his past, but never taking the foot off the throttle, always on the hunt, never idle.
hardened after extensive touring, the live show features live visuals made and sewn together by the artist himself.
The spectator is thrown inside the red-tinted world conjured by Norf Tech himself, where mechanised ukg rhythms are injected with burnt-out vocal samples, spectral synths and high-octane BPMs.
